Mobile payments were introduced in 2014, but adoption has stalled. Now, banks, retailers, and tech companies are pouring millions into their future. Google asked us to introduce their unified payment platform, Google Pay, to the world, and help them become the leader in the mobile payments race.
To bring payments to life, we paired real conversations with lifestyle photography. The text you’d send a friend, or chat you’d have with mom. We then detailed all the product features of Google Pay in simple, fun language.
We weren’t just introducing Google Pay to the United States. We designed a website and localized it across 16 countries and 10 languages – working with Google employees around the world to not just translate, but tell the Google Pay story in an authentic way to each country.
To help inform new Google Pay users, we created a series of fun, instructional videos to showcase app setup and key product features.
